1936 - Paul Claude Meixensperger starts PC Meixensperger Painting and Decorating after graduation and completion of two year painting apprenticeship.

1941 - Paul Claude serves with the US Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945 in Tunis, Sicily, Naples, Rome, and central Europe

1945- Paul Claude returns to Fond du Lac from the war and works with a group of painting apprentices on various painting projects throughout the city, one of which being the Fond du Lac Children's Home, which was formerly located on the corner of Follett and Macy Streets before it closed in 1968.
